YOUR GUIDE TO WATERPROOFING

COMMON QUESTIONS. DRY SOLUTIONS.

  • WHEN CAN YOU BE HERE?

That depends upon the scope of work we are completing for you.

We need a Project Manager to come by and inspect the substrate to ensure it meets manufacturer requirements, verify the scope of work and confirm if/when materials will be in stock, then plan a date on the schedule accordingly.

  • CAN YOU PUT ME ON THE SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW?

Highly unlikely. Our cold fluid applied work is usually booked out a minimum of two weeks at any given time.

Our sheet membranes, hot fluid applied and traffic coatings are typically booked out four to eight weeks at a time.

  • WHY DOES A MOUNTAIN NEED TO BE WATERPROOFED?

    It doesn’t.

But the buildings in the mountains need to be. If you want to be comfortable inside and protect your investment, waterproof.

  • DO YOU HAVE CREWS THAT CAN JUST POOKIE IT, REAL QUICK?

We are fresh out of pookie!

But we have a vast lineup of proper waterproofing products and systems that we can install if you’re interested in having the job done right the first time.

  • WHERE IS MY PRICING I ASKED FOR YESTERDAY?

Your poor planning does not make it our emergency.

Our estimators can have most projects priced within a week of receiving the necessary information required to provide a comprehensive and accurate estimate.

We will do our best to meet tighter turnaround timelines, but we offer no guarantees of turning around a number in less than a week.

  • WHAT APPLICATIONS DO YOU DEAL WITH?

Our most common applications include foundation cold fluid applied and sheet applied, horizontal hot fluid applications, and pedestrian coatings, and underslab sheet applied.

We most commonly waterproof beneath floor slabs, foundation walls and decks/garages/flat roofs located above occupied space.

  • WHAT MANUFACTURERS DO YOU USE?

American Hydrotech, GCP, Sika and Tremco products primarily.

We also install complimentary products such as insulation boards, vapor barriers, expansion joints and caulking.

  • WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR HOT APPLIED PROFUCT AND A ROOFING MEMBRANE?

Our hot is a fabric reinforced monolithic system, meaning it has no seams and is quite durable.

It is meant to be overburdened and can withstand traffic.

  • HOW SOON AFTER WE STRIP FORMS, CAN YOU SPRAY COLD FLUID APPLIED?

We can spray concrete foundation walls 24 hrs. after forms have been removed.

  • CAN YOU APPLY IN COLD OR RAINY WEATHER?

Temperature ranges from product to product.

In many cases a temporary roof might need to be installed to keep the surface dry and warm.

We cannot apply when there is active weather, unless the work area is tented.
